Leisa B. Lawson

Leisa focuses on litigation with an emphasis on employment and commercial matters. An experienced attorney, she represents, advises, and guides businesses with a practical, solution-oriented approach that avoids unnecessary risks. Leisa is both a forceful advocate and skillful negotiator who protects her clients’ interests.

Leisa practices primarily in the areas of employment law, commercial litigation, and casualty litigation. Her career includes a four-year stint at the Director of Civil Service for the City of Alexandria, LA from 2020 through 2024. She joined Chadwick, Odom & Stokes on a full-time basis in 2024, after previously working part-time with the firm.

Outside of work, Leisa is active in the profession and community. Within the profession, she has served as an Assistant Bar Examiner for Louisiana Code of Civil Procedure since October 2022, in addition to previously serving on committees of the Louisiana Bar Foundation, the Young Lawyers Division of the Louisiana State Bar Association, and the Louisiana Association of Defense Counsel.

In the community, Leisa currently serves on the executive committee of the Children’s Advocacy Network, and the boards of the Louisiana Alliance of Children’s Advocacy Centers, Louisiana Organ Procurement Agency, and the Baton Rouge High School Foundation. She also served on the board of United Way of Central Louisiana. Leisa is a 2024 graduate of Leaders for a Better Louisiana’s year-long Leadership Louisiana program.
