After a trial on the merits, Jonathan Stokes and Jacob Joffrion obtained dismissal with prejudice of the claims of two putative shareholders, seeking a writ of mandamus compelling the inspection and copying of corporate records pursuant to La. R.S. 12:1-1602. The court found the former naked owners of a usufruct of corporate stock were not "record shareholders" within the meaning of La. 12:1-1602.
