Leisa received her B.A. in kinesiology with a concentration in sports medicine. While at Rice, Leisa had a wide variety of experience, including researching DNA genotyping with Nobel laureate Dr. Robert Curl and working with the Houston Rockets as a strategy research intern. After Rice, Leisa returned to Louisiana to attend the Paul M. Hebert LSU Law Center where she earned her J.D. She was admitted to the Louisiana State Bar in 2011, and is licensed to practice in all Louisiana state and federal courts.
